Heidi Forhan

Senior Vice President

I come from a family where we take pride in being hard workers. My father was a framer, and carpenter, which instilled a great work ethic in me, and I also developed his love of sailing. I started out working in accounting for small construction companies, and for the Petco corporate office processing retail accounting. One of my favorite jobs, of 6 years, was working at HomeFed Corporation, which owns many developments, including the San Elijo Hills master planned community in San Marcos, CA. It was an amazing experience to be apart of that award-winning community as it progressed from being a bare mountain to having thousands of homes. Since then, I have been working for ABMG. It is my second home and family, full of hard-working, detailed bookkeepers and assistants, all of whom love their jobs and clients.

Elwyn Leibold

Tax Coordinator

I was born and raised in north central Ohio. After pursuing several odd jobs looking for my place, I enlisted in the Navy in 2013. After training, my first assignment was to Pt. Mugu in sunny SoCal. After four years of service and separating to pursue my education and enjoying what California had to offer, I decided to enroll at UCLA where I’m currently finishing my degree. Looking for gainful employment while attending school, I came across ABMG. While I originally applied for a reception position for my years of experience in an office, it was not long before I was moved into the current position I have: working on the lawful preparation of tax returns both personal and business. I enjoy tackling complex returns for our clientele and doing my best to get them the best results possible. When I’m not working on taxes I enjoy hitting the trails with my girlfriend and our two dogs. I enjoy traveling and reveling in what other cultures have to offer and the great unity of the human experience.

Brianna Finchum

Executive Business Manager

I found my love for numbers, and reconciliation, in high school where I took Accounting 1 & 2 and went on to work as a bank teller. From there, I went to work for a national homebuilder where I started as the receptionist and worked my way up to Financial Analyst. When the 2008 recession hit home builders, I moved onto a commercial builder as the Staff Accountant. In August 2014, I started working for ABMG and am grateful to be part of an amazing team. While I am not helping my clients, I am spending time with my husband and 2 daughters. I was born and raised in Southern CA and currently reside in sunny Oceanside, CA so you can usually find us at the beach. I love spending time with my family and reading a good book.

Allie Finchum

Tax Coordinator

I was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Florida in 2000. I eventually returned with an added member to our family in 2013. I began working in for ABMG because I had friends and family that worked for Larry. Once here, I was hooked! I love being the go-to person to help resolve tax issues or helping those who just need a little guidance with their return. I’ve been married to Shon for over 32 years. I have a daughter, Kiah, who was recently married. I also have a 17-year-old son, Kamryn. On my off time, you might find me on my bike on the Pacific Coast Highway or on my paddleboard in the Carlsbad lagoon.

Kiah Tretter

Jr. Business Manager

I grew up in a small town right outside of Tampa, FL, and moved to California to be closer to family in 2016. I started working for ABMG in June of 2018 in the beautiful city of Carlsbad, California. I started out as an assistant to the Business Management department and quickly fell in love with bookkeeping; I find myself enjoying my profession more by the day. There are a lot of puzzling challenges that come up during any given day, but I have always loved puzzles. Not only is the technical aspect of the job wonderful but working under Larry Lerner and the rest of the staff here at ABMG has been a privilege. My mom, Allie, and my Aunt, Brianna, have been such great mentors for me as I have grown as a Bookkeeper. I also recently got married in December of 2019.

When we are not working, my husband and I spend much of our time traveling and volunteering.

Lilian Andres

Assistant Manager of Bookkeeping Department

I am one of five siblings who grew up enjoying numbers and discovered the passion for accounting as early as seventh grade. My focus while in college was majoring in Accounting with a minor in Spanish. At the age of 20 years old I started as an intern and shortly after I joined the ABMG team. Within a year I was able to reassure that the accounting industry was the right decision for me. My objective is to use all available resources and my knowledge to give you peace of mind so you can concentrate on your day to day activities. Off duty, I enjoy the beach and I’m slowly starting to pick up running, reminiscing on those track and field days.

Amy Cerros

Manger of Bookkeeping Department

I was born and raised in San Diego County and am married with 2 kids. My favorite place is being in the mountains, either hiking or biking. My next favorite place is being home with my family working in the garden or kitchen. I believe strongly in ‘mind over matter.’ If you think you can do it, you will find a way to do it. Balance, determination, and grit are essential components to getting the most enjoyment in life.

Before joining the ABMG, Inc. family in June 2015, I worked as an Office Manager and Controller at a commercial construction company. I love working with clients to get their business bookkeeping in order so they have the information they need to make good business decisions. There is much satisfaction in helping my clients, who are struggling with their bookkeeping, and taking that aspect of the business “off their plate,” so they can focus their time and energy into growing their business and making it successful.

Jessie Taylor

Staff Accountant

I am a Colorado native, transplanted to Southern California in 2016. My family moved here to take advantage of more summer days and more time at the beach! We live in Vista and think it’s a pretty great place!

I have been working in the field of accounting for over 20 years. My first job was as an Office Manager for a small nonprofit organization in Denver, CO. I enjoyed learning about nonprofit finance so much that I decided to complete my Bachelors degree in Accounting shortly after. After I graduated from college, I went on to serve as the Finance Director of several other nonprofits in the Denver area. When we moved to California, I began working as an outsourced accountant, which complimented my desire to continue to learn new things and helped me to meet new people. I knew I was in the right job when I had the ability to work from a home office, pursue a great career, and also be present and involved as a mom of three children. Accounting may not be the most exciting work, but it’s certainly one of the more flexible career options, especially with all of the recent advancements in technology. I really love working at ABMG because we have such an amazing staff of smart, hard-working people who are also really fun to work with!

I am married to an amazing guy and we have three teenage children. We are a tight-knit gang that loves spending time outside and living life to the fullest! When I’m not working or hanging out with my family, you’ll find me cooking, gardening, reading, playing guitar, hiking, or maybe practicing kickboxing or yoga.

Renae Smith

Executive Assistant

I was born in Escondido, California. In 1990, my family moved to a small town outside of Yosemite National Park. While living and working in this area for a publishing and graphic design company, my love for bookkeeping developed. My husband, Rusty, and I made the move back to my roots in Southern California, and the timing was perfect for a job opening in bookkeeping at ABMG, Inc. My job roles have expanded over the years, and now I am happy to handle the marketing needs of the company, assist in bookkeeping, and be an assistant to Larry Lerner. I appreciate the company’s emphasis on the quality of service. Larry is always expanding on ways to better serve and care for our clients. It is a great work environment, we are a team that cares about and helps each other, and we work well together under pressure. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my family.

Maria Elena Hubbard

Staff Accountant

I was born and raised in San Jose, CA. Yes, I am a Silicon Valley native! A short time after graduating from high school I attended a business college where I learned several skills that I apply in my current position here at ABMG. My family and I moved down to the San Diego area in the summer of 2001. This decision was easy to make since just about every holiday we vacationed in San Diego. We, obviously, fell in love with the area prior to moving down. I joined the ABMG family in November of 2016 down in the San Diego area. In my spare time, my family and I love to explore. Spending time backpacking in the High Sierra of Yosemite and its surrounding areas is my most favorite thing to do. I love to disconnect from this fast-paced world and just sit and enjoy the quiet surroundings with spectacular views. There are other things I also enjoy. Such as visiting Disneyland, spending a day at Glen Ivy Hot Springs, spending time with family and friends at the beach, having wine and cheese parties at home or at my friend’s homes, enjoying a high tea once in a while, or just simply having friends over playing board or card games. My priorities are taking care of my elderly mom who is fun to be around. I have learned so much from her through the years and continue to do so to this day. I found a wonderful, kind, loving husband who I can say truly spoils me (to a point) and shares the same faith. We raised our only child who is now a young adult and is truly a blessing in our lives. Working with my ABMG family has allowed me to keep my priorities straight and enjoy a happy professional and personal life.

Wendy Mortensen

I am a Southern California native growing up in the San Gabriel Valley. After graduating from Pasadena City College, I went to work in the family printing company. When that closed, I started my own business doing bookkeeping work for multiple companies. That moved into becoming a full-time office manager and bookkeeper for an international film production and distribution company. During my time there we produced the Academy Award-winning Movie “Narc.” Since leaving I have been working full-time in daily business management for shopping center owners and multiple medical professionals. When I am not working, I’m the best Aunt ever (that’s what the mug says) to my 9-year-old nephew and 6-year-old niece.
